Muhammad Saad Iqbal was sent home here in August after more than six years in American custody, including five years at the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, he had difficulty in walking, his left ear was severely infected, and he was dependent on a bunch of antibiotics and antidepressants.
The problems, said Mr. Iqbal, 31, a professional reader of Koran, are the result of a torture, imprisonment and interrogation for which he suffered in the custody of the United States government.
